I didn’t know there was an english magazine at the University of Seoul (UOS) when I was a freshman. I just wanted to express myself through writing, and I found The UOS Times two years ago.

When I was a cub-reporter, it was very difficult because of my homework. I was swamped with meetings and appointments with both my major and The UOS Times, and I must choose one. Consequently, I chose the UOS times and now I am satisfied.

To begin, I look back upon the past and how hard it was to publish magazine articles. However, I would rather be happy and I expect my junior to be much better with the magazine. And now I can say future junior of The UOS Times “That you are service of The UOS Times is the best choice in your university life.”

It’s already been two years after I knocked the door of ‘The UOS Times’ office to submit my application. When I was a cub-reporter the first term, everything was unfamiliar to me and I felt awkward composing articles for the magazine.

However, as time goes by, I have taken an interest in writing articles in English, taking pictures, forming layouts using the Illustrator, and interviewing people. For the last two years, I and my colleagues have chosen new reporters over three times and I have participated in several events such as a field day, an alumni association, and a senior’s wedding.

I became very despondent at the thought that I’ll resigning as a reporter soon. But I’m sure that I won’t forget all of precious experiences and memories that I went through during my term of office.

It makes me feel bittersweet to resign as The UOS Times reporter. When being cub-reporter two years ago, I was unfamiliar with many things in The UOS Times.

I had trouble adapting to the process of publication at first. To publish our magazine, I have to keep the article deadline and it was so hard for me to do. I always needed more time to write articles, because our magazine is written in English, ‘NOT’ Korean which is my native language.

Although I have been exhausted to write articles and do many things administratively at The UOS Times, I think that it is worth doing my best and I’m thankful for meeting good people and having useful experiences. For the rest of my life, I will remember my time and experience at The UOS Times.

I can hardly believe that the time to say good bye has come for me. There are lots of things that I would like to say but first of all, I want to say AT LAST IT IS OVER!

Master the sorrow of the end for a moment, I really want to enjoy the last time of the composition process with joy. Also, I am willing to praise myself that I can bear all the hard work for 2 years. This was the most useful experiences of my university life, and my friends who can’t be excluded from my times at The UOS Times, I’m really thankful to you!

Without you, I couldn’t have survived this time. I don’t think our lives at The UOS Times will be over either. So, don’t say good bye and don’t be sad okay? Let’s just enjoy the last process we can take part in! I love you and I love The UOS Times!
