Can the Korean football team make it into the quarterfinals? Even though our team is well-skilled, Brazil, Argentina, and England have very strong teams and are also well-organized. So it is difficult to win in matches between us and them. However, don’t be disappointed. Our team has the strongest willpower in the world. That’s why our team can win a ticket for the quarterfinals.

Which player do you expect to be strong in this World Cup?
Unlike most people who expect Park Ji-sung (Manchester United FC), Lee Chung-yong (Bolton wanderers FC), Park Chu-young (AS Monaco FC), and Ki Sung-yueng (Celtic FC), I expect Cho Yong-hyung (Jeju United FC) to be the strongest. His position is a defender, the same as me. Also he belongs to the same agency as mine. My representative highly praises him. So I’m interested in him. I think he is smart and has the necessary skills as the defender. I really wonder how he defends the strong Argentine forwarders so well.

Who will score the first goal in this World Cup?
As soon as I am asked to this question, I thought of three players. They are Lee Dong-gook, Yeom Ki-hoon, and Park Chu-young. Because they are all forwarders, they will gain the chances to score a goal. If I have to choose just one player, I would choose Yeom.

I don’t really know if I will get to play in the 2014 Brazilian World Cup. Actually I want to go up step by step rather than entering with the World Cup members. I think that after I taking my place on a professional team, I can take part in World Cup. But don’t misunderstand! My ultimate goal is to enter a professional team. My last aim is to participate in World Cup as a member of national team.
