Traffic turned out ‘not-so-bad’ in comparison to past years as many people had a stretched public holiday of up to nine days off (Sept. from 18 to 26th, one of the longest Chuseok holidays ever). However, heavy rain worsened traffic conditions during the peak time for people on the move, with floods in areas that included Gwanghwamun, the civic centre of Seoul. Even subways were temporarily unable to operate; Chuseok was temporarily interrupted by an unexpected host.
