Hwang Seung-won needed a lot of money for tuition. So he could not help but to make money. Unfortunately, while working part-time at E-mart, he died from an unexpected accident. After all, he died lonely while working to earn money for tuition. However, this memorial might soothe him in solitiude. Furthermore, students attended his memorial with the same opinion that school tuition fee is expensive. Shortly after starting the event, about eighty people came. This shows the persistent friendship among students at UOS.
Among them, especially, were the presence of Korea United College’s president, the UOS president, the UOS vice president, the School of Economics’ president, the College of Engineering’s president, and they made the event very special. The event procedure consisted of a song before the opening, meditation and videos about Hwang Seung-won, consoling speeches, fund-raising ceremony, and walking together around the Economics and Business Building. At the event, the audience felt pity when Hwang Seung-won’s younger sister spoke her feelings about receiving money to pay her brother’s debts. The event might be a beginning which inspires others to feel a deep sensation.
