The 2nd LANXESS and Korea Economic Daily Final Presentation Challenge was held on November 4, 2011. Eight finalists presented their ideas in the Aula Spei (previous Lecture and Research Complex Building). Judges included Seung Yun Rah who played a prominent role in winning the Winter Olympic bid for Pyeongchang. The finalists were evaluated on their ideas and presentation skills.

The subject of the presentations was “Suggestions for a better future and for improving the quality of life.” A Grand prize, Presentation award, Creativity award, Design award and Innovation award were prepared for only five teams. Each group was comprised of three to four university students. Judges, Masters of Ceremonies and participants spoke only in English. The auditorium in this building was jampacked with students from the University of Seoul who came to watch the contest.

The team named ‘Positivizers’ suggested a website that people lamenting their failure can post their stories and share their frustration with others. It won the Grand prize of W3,000,000 as well as a certificate of commendation awarded by the Minister of Education Science and Technology.
