Glee is a musical drama which the 'Glee' cast remakes and sings classic songs. Two years ago, the Glee soundtrack was listed on the Billboard Chart 75 times, beating The Beatles’ record. Reflecting its popularity, even Hollywood superstars are interested in being cast on Glee. For example, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have all appeared on the show.

Glee’s casts not only introduce joyful pop songs but also develop their own stories. They use famous songs to explain and express their feelings. In the drama, members of the glee club may seem like outsiders because they represent minorities within the group community. These include homosexual high school students, a disabled one, an Asian and an overweight student. At first, they felt depressed because of the mocking from the majority; the thin, pretty girls, brave boys and so on. However, by singing songs, they overcome others’ judgments about them. Through this process, they found their own values and personalities. When you discover that these fabulous songs can console and help them express their situations, you could sympathize with truly understand the lyrics of the songs more easily. This song also appears in the soundtrack for the movie “Dream girls.” Mercedes cannot keep up with the harsh training of New Direction (the glee club’s name) and blames the external environment. She and her colleagues re-make this song.

This song appears on Glee’s Season 2. All of the songs in Glee are remade except for ‘Loser Like Me’, which is New Direction’s original song. It portrays the glee clubs’ pain that comes from their colleagues. Listening to the lyrics of this song, you can feel funny. They wait for future revenge, even though they are now knocked down and pushed against the locker. Thanks to this song, New Direction can get a ticket to New York for national championship.

Emma is a teacher at Mckinley high school. She falls in love with Will, who runs the glee club. Both Emma and Will really want to get married but, she is obsessed with cleanliness. They have tried many times, in vain, to fix her. Will is frustrated and sad when he sees her symptoms. When you are listening to his song, you can feel his great desire for Emma to overcome her mysophobia.
