At first, they felt depressed because of the mocking from the majority; the thin, pretty girls, brave boys and so on. However, by singing songs, they overcome others’ judgments about them. Through this process, they found their own values and personalities. When you discover that these fabulous songs can console and help them express their situations, you could sympathize with truly understand the lyrics of the songs more easily. If you watch all episodes of Glee (Three seasons so far), you can broaden your perspectives like the students of the glee club blurring and ignoring society’s wrong stereotypes.

You’ve been late; you’ve been mean and (getting fatter: 점점 형용사 해지다) all the time. Mercedes Now you’re lying! You’re lying! I’ve never been so thin.
You’re lying! You’re lying ‘cause you’re knocking off that piece who thinks she’s better than everybody (running for: 선거에 출마하다) president.
She ain’t better than anybody. She ain’t nothing but common.
Santana Now you listen to me, Miss Blame-It-On-The-World.
See, I’ve (put up with you: 투정을 받아주다) for much too long. I have put up with your bitching. I’ve put up with your (nagging: 잔소리) and all your screaming too!
[Omit] Mercedes I always knew you two were (ganging up: 패거리 지어 괴롭히다) on me. Puck (Lay off: 물러나다) Effie. Just take the money and run.

Just go ahead and hate on me and (run your mouth: 입을 함부로 놀리다)
So everyone can hear
(Hit me with the words: 욕하다) you got and knock me down

When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can’t sleep
(Stuck in reverse: 뒷걸음질에 머물다)
And the tears come (streaming down: 흐르다) your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And (ignite your bones: 내면을 감싸주다)
And I will try to (fix you: 치유하다)
