On May 14, an artist Han Hye-sun, donated her painting ‘Maison’(house in French) to UOS. The Donation Ceremony was held at the President of University’s office, located in the University Center. The artwork is comprised of five paintings connected horizontally, which depict the wall of a building. The painting will be displayed on the main lobby of the university Headquarters.
Han Hye-Sun had studied art for sixteen years at Ecole des Beaux-Art in Paris, France and has been painting for almost thirty years. Her early works concentrated on portraying reality, but she said that these days she tries to focus on moderating her expression. “The painting ‘Maison’ can be seen as a house as the title indicates. It can be a facade of a certain building like a factory, or just a landscape. It depends on how a viewer observes the painting.”
