Choi Ji-in Reporter

Hi, everyone! I am so glad to see you all again! First of all, I am so pleased to get promoted to a Reporter of The UOS Times at last! All my hard work and dedication for a year finally paid off! Looking back, I had such a wonderful summer. I got a chance to cooperate with talented and passionate reporters from other universities by participating in a camp organized by UKCEM (Union of Korean College English Media). Two weeks of The UOS Times summer study program was also helpful and memorable. I hope UOS readers had a great summer vacation as well. As a reporter, I will promise to do my best to deliver useful information to UOS readers! So please keep watching out for me!

Kim Hyeon-ji Reporter

Glad to meet you again, The UOS Times readers! I have become a Reporter of The UOS Times. As I worked for The UOS Times, I got chances to tell others my opinion logically. I also met many people to write articles. Through these experiences, I could examine my capacity of dealing with various things at the same time and communicating with others. Sometimes I was satisfied with my work. However, I was disappointed at myself when I realized that I lacked responsibility and punctuality. Then, like a family, members of The UOS Times encouraged me to do better. With them, I could make improvements in my writing skills and become more diligent. The existence of readers also made me more responsible. I appreciate your attention for our magazine. Thank you all!

Yook Jun-yeop Junior Reporter

For the first half of 2012, I spent most of my time working at The UOS Times. Even though I was a Cub-Reporter, I have been really busy doing brain-storming, discussing and writing for the past two editions of The UOS Times. To be honest, sometimes I regretted applying for the position due to its tight schedules and heavy workloads. However, as I studied for the reporter promotion exam, my attitude changed! To be promoted to a Junior Reporter, I had to take lessons with other Cub-Reporter colleagues during the summer vacation. In the beginning, I did not want to go all the way to the university just for the studies. However, as I prepared for the exam with my colleagues, I learned important lessons such as designing layout, writing a coherent article and most importantly having a responsibility as a reporter of The UOS Times. I firmly believe that these experiences in The UOS Times would be a stepping stone for my future career. After all, my last semester in The UOS Times gave me a reason to stay in this honorable position until the end of my term.
