Professor Kim proposed one question at the beginning of the lecture: what should we do to get a job for tomorrow? He answered with the keyword “growth.” He said growth is the happiest change in one’s life. When we experience growth in our own body and our own life (not in an imaginary world like an internet game), we get the happiest feeling. “Success” is not about being special, but being the best one can be through this happy growth. Therefore, we have to seek jobs for our growth, not for money. This is the path towards real happiness. He finally emphasized: “Be yourself!”
One of the audience, Lee Jong-kwan (Dept. of International Relations, ’13), said it helped him lay out the way forward for his next years at university. He also said it gave him an opportunity to look back on the past, and he decided to live a challenging and growing life for himself.
