Mar. 1st through the 31st is the application period for those wishing to take part in the new business of the Student Council, Dreamplus. Dreamplus is a joint-lesson business where the Student Council has put together six different central clubs at UOS to give lectures to students.
Participating clubs include: UOSTC, PRISM, Beeverly Hills, Eolssigu a UOS Scape, a.k.a. Sidaepoongkyung and Enactus. For members of these clubs, it will be a great opportunity to promote themselves and reap a profit at the same time.
It will also provide a rare chance for students to learn how to plan and execute official events. For those taking lessons, Dreamplus will help them experience various clubs and interact with many other students. Those interested should visit the Student Council, pay a 3,000 won deposit and submit an application form. Students can receive their deposit back if they attend a lesson and fill out a short survey paper.
The business will begin with a lesson by UOS Scape on Mar. 18 and end on Jun. 2 with a lesson by Enactus. Jeong Seong-hoon (Dept. of Life Science, ’10) who is the current president of the cocktail club, Beeverly Hills expressed positive thoughts about the introduction of this business. While freshmen have an easier access to clubs, sophomores or juniors were relatively hesitant in the past about joining clubs midway. He hopes that this business will be a route to active interaction between clubs and students.
