The annual spring festival of UOS which was delayed due to the Sewol Ferry Accident will be held under the name of “Bibigo,” the autumn festival which unites Jeonnongchejeon, Inhyangje, and Daedongje. It was rescheduled to be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2. This festival will proceed for four days and bring the characters of three existing events together.

Heo So-jung (Dept. of Social Welfare, ’14) said, “I am a little bit disappointed about the loss of opportunity to enjoy the university festival, but I am looking forward to the new combined programs and concerts this autumn.”

For this year’s festival, the Autumn Festival Name Contest targeting UOS students was held from July 7 to 13. Among 40 names based on 12 keywords like autumn, sharing, and people, the Student Council carried out the final vote for the festival name among five nominates. In the final, Bibigo was selected as the festival name. Bibigo, which literally means to mix, is meant as a festival that everyone can unite around and enjoy on university grounds without distinction of any kind.
