▲ Jeong and members of Sanak-hoe are helping a student climb during the festival
In August 2014, but also the climbing wall was installed at University Gymnasium to give not only the locals but also UOS students a chance to enjoy a new sport and members of Sanak-heo, a Central Club of UOS, to practice wall climbing. According to Choi Chang-hyun (Dept. of Environmental Engineering, ’14), part of Sanak-hoe, originally the climbing wall was to be stationed at a Dongdaemun facility. However, with endeavors of Jeon Pu-r-na (Dept. of Physics, ’07), also a member, UOS could procure the wall in the campus. Now, the wall climbing is an important course of Sanak-heo for training and is also a course of Participation Sports along with tennis, yoga, and etc.

Jeong Hee-chun, a supervisor hired specifically to instruct wall climbing, is available all week except for Sundays and Mondays, and teaches how to climb a wall and create routes, a.k.a. setting, on the walls as well. During Bibigo, Sanak-heo took an advantage of the wall to introduce its club. Choi elaborated that the installation of the wall allowed Sanak-heo to show students what wall climbing is and gave other students who are interested a chance to actually try climbing.
