The Korea Student Aid Foundation receives applications for government part-time job scholarship through its website three times a year that enables student to have equally high education. All Korean students who are capable and willing can apply regardless of financial conditions. The chosen student workers can earn tuition fee and living expenses necessary to continue their studies. Also, they can develop field adaptability and abilities related to specialities through diverse business worlds.

This part-time job standard can be assorted into two, on campus and off campus. On campus, all universities have the same criterion, income. Off campus, universities have different criteria but the University of Seoul (UOS) standard is same as on campus criterion.

UOS students should meet GPA (over an average of 70 percent) to be selected. The student workers get 8000 won per hour on campus and 9500 won per hour out of campus. They work far maximum of 20 hours weekly during school terms and 40 hours during vacations.

UOS recruits only once because more than enough students apply. On average, about 300 UOS students benefit from this scholarship. Park Won-bin (Dept. of Sport Science, ’08) said, “I applied for a scholarship because of high wages. My work was to manage school facilities, which was good because I could use the time inbetween classes.”
