To gather the participants, Chosun Ilbo sends invitations to the top 30 universities according to the ranking made by Quacquarelli Symonds. Each college was able to choose only one student to participate. UOS was also invited, and according to the guidelines, the school accepted Tae-heon Song (Dept. of Mechanical and Information Engineering, ’14) to be a participant.
Song said he applied for the spot because he has taken a profound interest in history recently, and also likes traveling. “It will be a good chance to think deeply about the relationship,” he said.
The Delegation departed from Busan, visiting Daemado, Shimonoseki, Hiroshima, Fukuyama, Osaka, Nagoya, Hakone and Tokyo before returning safely back to Korea.
