The new spring and the new semester are here. Perhaps the biggest thing that everyone is worried about is how to make new friends. The followings are some tips on how to make friends, and how to find that special friend - thanks to a useful website on the topic : http://cafe.daum.net/andregagon

1. How to make friends...

Get close to people you hit it off with. We often want to find close friends like the ones we used to hang out with in our high school days, but it is more difficult at university, because we all have different time tables.

So how can we do it?

¨` If you want to make a good friend, it is certainly important to meet him or her as many times as you can. It can be hard at first to break the ice, but you can try doing it with a warm smile. And how about asking to borrow small things off them? After you use their eraser, calculator or whatever, you can pay them back with a drink. As you get to know your new friend a little bit more, you can ask them a question about study or something else. (It’s OK even if you already know the answer.)

Last but not least, you could invite them to work out or play sport with you, and as you tussle and work up a sweat together real friendship will grow.

Like the proberb, ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’, your real friendship will protect you from difficulties in life. If you find a person who can be a good friend to you, do not hesitate to get close to him or her.

2. How to find that special someone

Most of us hope to find a special someone who loves me and I love. So how can we find a sweetheart?

¨` First of all, you should practice your smile, perhaps even try smiling like your favorite actor or actress. You might just find your future love returning your friendly smile. Second, when you do have a special friend, compliment them as concretely as possible. For example, ¡°Your new hair style looks cool.¡± Make sure you don’t use sarcasm when you praise them. Third, keep in touch with your significant one regularly, and have a regular meeting such as 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

In that way, everyday at the same time, your honey will think about you. Fourth, share the same dish with your sweetheart. In particular, chocolate, meat, and Chinese food are good for developing relationships.

Fifth, try dating your love on a cloudy day, because the weather will relax you. Sixth, wear clothes which make you look cool. The lucky color for men is violet and women pink.

Above all, the truth of your heart is the most important thing. The UOS Times hope you find a good relationship this new spring, using your killing smile.
