The reporter, had the opportunity to interview Jeong Eun-ho.

Ms. Jeong is a PCO for Intercom, a PCO company in Kangnam. She has been working at Intercom as a PCO for eight years.
Reporter : How did you get started in the profession?

Ms. Jeong : I got started in this profession through my major in college. I majored in tourism management. I was able to learn about aspects of this field through courses like International Conference Administration.

I excelled in this field because of my ability to acquire information easily. For example, I can quickly gather information from the Internet and other sources
Reporter : In your opinion, what is the biggest attraction of being a PCO?

Ms. Jeong : Putting together successful conferences is exciting and interesting. After every conference my colleagues and I get together to celebrate, discuss, and review our work. I really enjoy the feelings of satisfaction and success that come with doing this job.
Reporter : Do you have any advice for students interested in the PCO field?

Ms. Jeong : As you might know, computer and foreign language skills are necessary in this profession. Experience is also important. Its important to see real conferencing while interning or working part-time at a PCO company. Indirect exposure to conferences through media related fields is also useful.

Quick thinking, improvisation, and insight are very important in the administration aspect of the job and are developed through experience. Responsibility, sincerity, and good physical conditioning are great qualities to have as a PCO and PCO companies welcome these types of individuals.
