British Culture, Feel It!

The British Council is an organization founded to introduce the country’s culture to Koreans. It is famous for a variety of cultural events and exhibitions. It also offers consulting services to students regarding studying abroad.

You can find it in Jung-gu, Seoul. Now, let’s look inside of this cultural facilities! On the first floor, there are an auditorium and the Study in Britain Center. In the auditorium, we may not only enjoy the British films, but also hold seminars.

On the second floor, there is a language center where anyone can learn English through classes held by native English teachers.

Yoo Mi Goh, the Assistant Director of the British Council, says, “The British Council’s motto is stepping up the cooperation between the Britain and Korea through education, culture and science.

In 2001, we held many cultural events and exhibitions regarding studying abroad. And we plan to promote more projects this year. Before visiting, guests had better click our website to learn more about upcoming events and attractions because we do not have cultural events everyday.”

In the Study in Britain Center, you can read guide books, catalogues, and brochures about most of the universities in Britain. Also you can use magazines and computer terminals for your use in the Study in Britain Center.
