People say, “The year is drawing to a close” at this time every year. Just one year ago, we talked about the coming of the new millennium. With the year 2002 just around the corner, what did we accomplish this past year, and what goals did we fulfill?
Many things were accomplished right here on our own campus. Our proud alumnus, Lee Bong-ju won the Marathon, the Seoul 21st Century building opened, and many buildings and facilities took on a new, polished appearance. Also, many wonderful, cultural events took place, including, the Searching Information Contest held by the UOS Times.
The serious mood of an anti-tuition hike demonstration left, there was a hand-printing event during anti-war and cultural demonstrations, and contrary to last election, there were two GSC candidates that were passionate candidate’s stumping in our campus. What about you? Did you get succeed in the plan you made early this year? Do you know that conventional word, the last is the end of something, but also the last means the start of something’?
The UOS Times has had a hard time this year. But, the New Year is coming! In this, our 74th publication, there is more useful information available to our readers, than ever before. Ways to use an infrastructure of information, tips to students on how to read English magazines, and much, much more.
Now, it depends on whether students use our information or ignore it. The new mood on our campus is full of excitement and energy. It will last throughout the month of December. Why don’t you enjoy this mood? Come together!
