NEWS@UOS would like to reach out to readers, not only UOSians but also foreigners, by writing the students’ stories at the UOS from a new perspective.

Change involves development. If not, there is no reason to chanage. Change for development requires a lot of effort. NEWS@UOS has made this effort and the result is this magazine. If you have read this magazine before at least once, you may find there are many changes in this edition.

All the reporters got together to reform this magazine and to brainstorm novel ideas during last winter vacation. We have tried to come up with original ideas for a more interesting magazine.

We realized we should change the magazine to reflect the changing atmosphere of the University of Seoul(UOS). Since the UOS started globalizing, there has been a rapid increase in the number of foreign exchange students and instructors in the UOS.

Also, some of the UOSians have attended foreign universities on exchange scholarship programs. For this reason, many foreigners are curious about what is going on in the UOS these days. To keep up with changes in the UOS, we have sought to make a new goal. The magazine title has been changed to NEWS@UOS from the former title, The UOS Times. All the names of the kickers have also been changed.

NEWS@UOS would like to reach out to readers, not only UOSians but also foreigners, by providing information in this magazine about UOS life which is not available through the UOS website. The future of NEWS@UOS is very bright because the UOS is going to become a global university. Now, I feel my urge to write the students’ stories from a new perspective. We will continue to change until you are satisfied.
