First, the gate at the front door of the library has been upgraded. Before, students were inconvenienced entering library, because the former gate could not read the bar-code of the student ID cards well. But on January 30th, the library changed the gate’s scanner. This new scanner recognizes the bar-code of the student ID cards faster than the last one.
Second, on January 28th, the library changed all the 500 won coin lockers to 100 won coin lockers and they also bought 240 more new 100 won coin lockers. Therefore, now there are a total of 540 lockers in the library all together. The library did this because there had been so many complaints from the students that the 500 won coin lockers were inconvenient to use because 500 won coins were rarely used and difficult to find.
Finally, between December 30, 1999 to January 30, 2000 the third floor of the library installed new carpets. It was for students to study quietly without the noise created from the cement floor. Now the problem we have with this carpet is the noise when they clean it with a vacuum cleaner.
