To My Buddy

It has already been 3 months since you came to Korea. So, how did you enjoy your life in the “Land of Morning Calm”? I can assume that your first 3 months in Korea has not been so “calm.” Back on the first day that I met you at the orientation; I was a little worried since it was your first time to be away from your family.

But now, I have to admit that I was wrong since you are doing such a great job as an exchange student. It is truly good to see you adjusting yourself to your new surroundings. Moreover, thank you for the beautiful memory at the bungee jump. It surely was a thrilling and exciting experience. I hope we can do other fun things together sometime in the future.

There is a phrase in the movie ‘Forest Gump’ that says, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get.” I really respect all the effort that you made during your stay in Korea. I really think you have made your trip to Korea very successful. I am sure there will be more of those great “chocolates” that you can proudly bring to your home. I wish you the best of luck in all that you do! Cheers!

Best wishes,
Park Bum-soo
