The Seoul Metropolitan Government has declared the end of the year as an "Emergency Pause Period" to the end of the year. Beginning Dec. 8, social distancing will be raised to level 2.5 than for the Seoul metropolitan area. Unlike in the early days of large-scale group infections, small-scale sporadic infections continued. In line with it, The Seoul Metropolitan Government has also come up with measures that focus on individuals. This article describes the measures for facilities accessible to college students.

All indoor sports facilities, karaoke rooms, and private academies were banned from use. Since meetings at religious facilities of more than 20 people are also prohibited, it is better not to go to church. Cafes are only allowed to takeout and deliveries. Restaurants and big markets are open, but after 9 p.m., they are just like cafes. All internet cafes, movie theaters, beauty salons, arcades, study rooms are closed after 9 p.m. too. In addition, public transportation will also be cut by more than 30 percent after 9 p.m.

However, the best way is not to approach these places, but to be alone. Experts point out that all coping starts with individuals. The following are five key rules announced by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

1. Ventilate every 2 hours even if it is cold.
2. Refrain from year-end gatherings and stay with your family at home.
3. Do not stay long in a non-ventilated facility.
4. Get tested immediately, if suspected.
5. Wear a mask and thoroughly disinfect your hands.
