There is a kiosk in the school cafeteria of University of Seoul (UOS). It is convenient for many people. However, it can be very hard to use for blind students in UOS.

First, there is no braille on the kiosk. Braille is important for the blind to communicate with society. Unfortunately, it is impossible to put braille on the kiosk screen. The absence of braille makes it hard to order for them

Moreover, there is no voice support service on the kiosk. Voice support service is an important tool for the blind when there is no braille. For example, there are subway exits with a voice support service that tells blind people what the exit number is. Since the braille cannot be put on electronic screens on kiosks, a voice support service can definitely be helpful.

To sum up, it is almost impossible for the blind to use the kiosk in the school cafeteria. What we can do is to propose installing a voice support service to the Student Council. Moreover, if you want to help peer students more directly, you can call the Disabled Student Support Office (02-6490-6273) and apply for a helper for disabled students. You can apply at the beginning of each semester.
