What is the first thing you think about when you hear the word “spring?” You might answer “flowers.” Indeed, there are beautiful flowers in spring. Amongst, many of you might think about cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are the representative flowers of spring, but there are other noticeable flowers blooming in the University of Seoul campus.

First, there is a royal azalea blossom. Actually, the royal azalea is one of the easiest flowers you can see on UOS campus. There are three colors, red, pink, and white. (The white royal azalea is kind of hard to see, but there are a few in front of the main library.)

Another flower that you can see in front of the main library is a redbud (a Judas tree). It has a bunch of little pink buds, and you can see them along the way to go up the long stairs toward the library. It would be refreshing to come out and see those flowers while you are studying in the main library.

Last but not least, there is a wooden pallet. There are two colors of the wooden pallet, and on UOS campus, there are yellow ones. You can see them in front of the university center, right next to the stairs. (Also, there is a flower bed down the stairs of the university center full of small flowers.)

This time of the year could be hard for university students. You have to prepare for the mid-term exam, but there are too many beautiful flowers to see. During this period, it would be great to see those flowers and feel spring for a while.
