1. Introduce yourself, please.

Hi, I am An Jae-Hyeong (The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering,'15), looking for a job in the field of video production, not in my major. Specifically, I want to work in advertising and music video production.

2. What made you dream that aside from your major?

After discharging the military service, I felt my major doesn’t fit with my interests. Therefore, I deeply looked into myself which to be my goal. Then I realized: When I was in third grade in middle school, I wanted a video camera to make some videos, but my parents couldn’t afford it because it was too expensive. It reminded me of my desire to make videos, and I decided to give it a try again.

3. What are you exactly trying for your dream?

After I made my mind, I literally focused on studying “video”. through YouTube and books then keep practicing. Now, I try to go on a field and try to make actual videos rather than just sitting on a chair and studying on my own. Every time I work on making videos, I learn a lot. Overall, I made two music videos and other two videos that related to my university (A tiger is coming and a cheer song). In addition, I analyze well advertisements and music videos.

4. Are there any difficulties?

Well, it is tough to juggle study the major and video both physically, and in time. It makes me think; “if I majored in the video, it would be much easier to access good quality classes.” However, learning to make videos is so much fun that makes me forget any difficulties. 

5. What are your plans and your ultimate goal?

I want to make twice the number of videos I have made until now. Also, I want to make it with a bigger budget. To do so, I need to study more and make portfolios. I think it is a common goal of the video makers; I want to make a video that people enjoy and be touched. On the other hand, if something more interesting comes up, I think I can do other genres like film or drama, or comedy. I will never stop writing, shooting, and editing to reach my dream.
