In the morning of May 8, the University of Seoul was abuzz because of the shooting of an SBS TV drama titled “The Penthouse III: War in Life” at the Music Building. Finally, the corresponding episode was broadcasted successfully on Friday, June 11.

"The Penthouse: War in Life” is a sensational television series starring famous actors and actresses such as Eugene, Kim So-yeon, Lee Ji-ah, and Um Ki-joon. The program is about wealthy parents and their children who are eager to go to the College of Music at Seoul National University. Therefore, the Music Building of UOS was utilized as the place where the characters take the practical examinations to enter the college in the third season of the program. The exterior of the building appeared on the program beautifully, arousing the viewers’ interest and curiosity where the filming site has been. On the other hand, the interior of the building appeared on the program is not the interior of the Music Building at UOS as it was shot only at the outside of our campus building.

In addition, the production company named “Chorokbaem Media”, which has been producing this program with “Studio S”, another production company, donated a considerable amount of money to UOS. UOS later announced that it is going to be used for students as well as the development of the school, appreciating the contribution of the company.

Thanks to the popularity of the program, UOS has received a lot of attention from the public since the day of the shooting. The UOS Times is looking forward to having more various chances at promoting our university, which has impressive scenery and many magnificent buildings.
