Azure, the soccer club of the Department of Sport Science at UOS, took 2nd place at Yang-gu National Universities Amateur Soccer Championship, against One Mind (Kookmin University). The score was 1:1, and Azure lost at the penalty shoot-out. Because they took second place at this championship, they are ranked in the first place on the amateur universities soccer team list calculated by winning points they have in various championships. In this competition, Azure showed high-quality performance and teamwork. There were dramatic goals that led them to win each tournament. Even at the final, Azure scored right before the referee blew the last whistle. Everyone at the stadium became one mind and cheered the players to win. The result was not the best, however, Azure and the UOS Sport Science students were couldn’t be richer in mind.
Student A, a fan of Azure who watched the whole final match, said that “World cup wouldn’t be more fun and exciting than this final.”
They promised to win the next championship that will be held in Yeongwol in October.
