The University of Seoul has rebuilt the outdoor tennis courts. The construction began late in March and finished at the end of August. During the construction, students were not able to play tennis at the school unless they paid the fee to use the indoor tennis court which is located in the Wellness Center. Since September 1st, the outdoor tennis courts have reopened. So, from now on, the students can enjoy tennis without any payment.

The construction changed the existing sand court into an artificial turf court which makes the court feel very luxurious and cool. The construction also made a new resting area, so when a player gets tired, there is a convenient facility that makes the tennis players feel more comfortable.

On August 25th, the UOS held a tennis tournament to celebrate the completion of the construction. A lot of students and professors participated and the winner of the tournament received 150,000 won for first prize.

In addition, we can’t smoke in the new outdoor tennis court and whoever uses the court must wear tennis shoes and proper training clothes. From 7am to 9pm anyone who attends the UOS can use the court without payment. If you want to turn on a light it only costs 3,000 won.
