From March 2 to March 4, the University of Seoul (UOS) held an event providing gift sets for freshmen in celebration of their entering college. The event was held in front of the Student Hall. Each college placed its booth and congratulated freshmen. The weather was great so was the atmosphere.
The gift set is composed of products that represent UOS and a lot of souvenirs. First, the certificate of admission was included. Stickers, pop sockets, and key rings with Irumae, which is the mascot of UOS, printed on them were also included. Moreover, there were tumblers and mouse pads as components as well. The instruction paper introducing various programs held at school was included, too.
After the distribution of the gifts, a lottery event was followed. Many students picked their lottery carefully to win the prize. Then, the last event was taking a picture at the photo booth, which was built to celebrate their admission into UOS. Thanks to the members of the Student Council, the event went on smoothly. It was a wonderful day to greet freshmen of UOS.
Suh Soon-tak, the University President, said, “Be confident and set high goals to challenge yourself. I wish you a happy life in UOS. Please participate actively in various programs provided by the school,” during the entrance ceremony. The UOS Times wishes good luck to all the newcomers and students in UOS.
