Every day around 7 pm, the cafeteria in the University of Seoul (UOS) dormitory gets crowded with people cooking their dinner. Among these students, many are from different countries and different cultures. With many different smells coming from the kitchen, students socialize with each other while preparing their food and even try each other’s foods.

With the new semester starting and offline lessons taking in place, students are returning to the campus. Not only Koreans but also foreigners can be seen all around the campus. Moreover, students’ needs to eat resulted in cooking their own food in the dorm's cafeteria. Thanks to the cultural diversity of UOS, many different foods are being cooked in the dorm's cafeteria. Residents also have a chance to socialize with each other while waiting for their food to get cooked.

French exchange student Alban Jacquinot (Dept. of Business Administration 22’ ), stated that ‘’Cooking for dinner is the most enjoyable time of the day for me because while I am preparing my food, I also spend my time with others, and it makes my time here very special.’’

Many others also think it is a very special time of their day. Dorm residents who are eager to cook and socialize with others are always welcomed to use the dorm cafeteria everyday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
