A lot of UOS students are staying in the dormitory, which is located on campus. It is necessary to keep some etiquettes to live in the dormitory, since it is a place where everybody stays together.
Firstly, complaints related to dormitory noise have been continuously filed. There are noises such as loud conversation, phone calls, or sound of music, and this can bother other students. Also, especially at night time, the noise occurring in Baebongtang can be heard in the dormitory because it is right next to it, so it is necessary to be careful about noises.
Secondly, there are complaints received about smoking indoors. Indoor smoking can cause systemic problems as well as secondhand smoke. Smoking in the room can be mistaken for fire smoke, causing smoke detection and sprinkler operation. Second-hand smoke is a big health hazard, and it is also very difficult to recover the damage of flooding of the entire building due to sprinkler malfunction, so indoor smoking should be prohibited.
