University of Seoul (UOS) held a short-term domestic tour launching ceremony June 22, 2022 to encourage students to enjoy their life in university.  The short-term tour program has been conducted overseas since 2017 to support students with various international experiences, but was temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 in 2020. Since 2021, the tour area has been changed to Korea and has been implemented every vacation.

The team consists of four members who can apply to this program, regardless of their grade or major. UOS provides 350,000KRW for each individual to support their memorable travel. In 2022, 97 teams (388 people) applied. After documentation and interview evaluation, 50 teams (200 people) were finally selected. In particular, freshman and sophomore students received additional points in consideration of the fact that they could not enjoy college life due to COVID-19. In addition, the competition rate is recorded 2:1, which is not high because of enough support from UOS.

The final 200 students will travel to every part of Korea during the summer vacation and tour according to the theme that they picked. The Student Affairs Office will distribute safety manuals for short-term visits and operate group chat rooms during the trip to conduct real-time monitoring for students' safe travel.

President Seo Soon-tak said, "I hope that through this short-term tour, selected students, including 21st and 22nd class students, who could not enjoy their college life due to COVID-19, will make precious memories with college friends and have a safe and healthy trip.
