I entered the University of Seoul (UOS) in 2020, and COVID-19 was a coexistence condition with my college life. It was The UOS Times that completed most of my school life. Ahead of my farewell to The UOS Times, the social turmoil caused by the COVID-19 pandemic seems to have been shaken down. Every end is a new beginning. Even when the COVID-19 pandemic is completely over, it will probably be the beginning of a new world. The UOS Times still held its place when the world stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, even if a new beginning comes, The UOS Times will remain in its place and continue to do its duty.

In The UOS Times magazine, I have attempted to capture the changing phases of society. Many students have left their home countries to study in South Korea and at UOS. We highlight their joys and pains while they live in Korea. The issues of marriage and the economy are important for everyone regardless of the times. These topics, respectively depicted in the Cover Story and Society sections, will help readers explore the changing world. There is news of the festival, which will be held for the first time in two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. We also introduce the club in the hope of normalizing school life. Environmental protection is a major issue in this era; therefore, we will look at this issue through the practice of the zero-waste challenge and secondhand trade. If readers want to know the Korean art history and publishing cycles of our magazine, they may pay attention to The Place and the Opinion sections.

As usual, many people supported the production of this magazine. I would like to thank the reporters who have worked with me for a year and the cub reporters who will be the backbone of The UOS Times. I am especially grateful to the vice editor-in-chief who has helped me lead The UOS Times. Of course, I always thank our readers. My time with The UOS Times as editor-in-chief has come to an end, but as a loyal reader, I will always be with The UOS Times. Thank you and farewell, The UOS Times

In the fall semester of 2020, everything was difficult when I took my first step as a cub reporter for The UOS Times. When I had an item meeting, I was always nervous about whether my item was decent, and when I attended an evaluation meeting, I was worried if there was any problem with the article I wrote. Because of my poor English skills, I spent much more time and effort writing articles than other reporters would have. However, although I struggled, I have not given up until now, thanks to the support and consolation of my peer reporters.

Moreover, working as the vice editor-in-chief of The UOS Times, I was often exhausted. I would like to express my deep gratitude to executive editor Kim Min-jung for always helping us and always working hard whenever The UOS Times faced challenges. I am especially grateful to Hwang Yun-seon, the editor-in-chief on whom I relied a lot for a year.

Although having written more than 20 articles, I have never been fully satisfied with my articles, but thanks to the readers who enjoyed reading them, I was able to cheer up and work as a reporter. Although this is my last magazine as a reporter for The UOS Times, I will always support The UOS Times anywhere I go. It was an honor to be a reporter and a vice editor-in-chief of The UOS Times. Thank you and I love you, The UOS Times
