“Chat GPT” is currently drawing a wealth of attention around the world, but how reliable is it? Elon Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla, Space-X, and Twitter and is running as a leader in the AI industry, responds to the question, "Not at all."

Concerns about AI chatbots have been steady since the beginning. In 2019, when artificial intelligence began to be in the spotlight, Professor Jean-Gabriel Ganascia, a French artificial intelligence expert, said that human prejudice creates unfair AI systems. No matter how advanced artificial intelligence is, it is so easy for it to say ethically biased things because it learns all information through humans. As an example, Microsoft's chatbot "TAY," which was released in 2016, was suspended due to racist remarks and sexist remarks. This is also what Elon Musk is concerned about. He says, "Open AI is saying things that are not true, different from its initial intention, but it seems as if they are politically valid." The more AI develops and improves, the more people believe in incorrect information uncritically.

In this situation, the alternative he talks about is "Truth GPT." Last month, he established a corporation called "X.It." The company is believed to have been founded by him to develop a new AI that can be a counterpart to open AI. According to him, the new AI he plans to launch will be the largest truth-seeking AI (Maximum Truth-Seeking AI) that strives to understand the nature of the universe. Although it is not fully commercialized yet, "Truth GPT" is available on websites and apps. The website of "Truth GPT" emphasizes that it is transparent and honest artificial intelligence, saying, "Truth GPT AI chatbot was created to provide unbiased truths, as opposed to others that follow biased political agendas and hide sensitive information." Although in-depth research will be needed on how AI without prejudice or misinformation will be possible, the start of Truth GPT seems meaningful enough, given that it pointed out the problems of the current AI chatbot.
