Nowadays, there are many promotional postings and advertisements via Instagram. A lot of online and offline shops make use of Instagram for their marketing. It can be assumed that since this particular platform is used by all generations, especially younger ones, it can be seen as a profitable platform for businesses. 

       There is a brand “SaH,” which was started in March 2023. It has been using Instagram for advertising and marketing since the beginning. The UOS Times interviewed its chairwoman/brand manager for its use of Instagram.

 

Q1. Please introduce SaH to our readers.

A1. SaH is a lifestyle brand that was started from trying not to distinguish between daily life and leisure time. Our goal is to break down the boundaries between the formal aspects of daily life and the relaxation of leisure. We are planning to launch new lines of various categories reflecting this idea. 

 

Q2. You have been using Instagram for your marketing since the very beginning. Is there any reason?

A2. Our target consumers are people in their mid-20s. Since Instagram is widely used by younger generations, from people in their teens to 30s, Instagram was our first choice among a lot of means of marketing. Moreover, to consumers who appreciate visual materials, Instagram’s unique UI composition is the most appropriate to provide SaH’s brand concept by uploading photos of products and other photos of color expression. In fact, visits through our website link at the top of the Instagram profile account for about 90 percent of the whole.

 

 Q3. What do you think are the pros and cons of marketing through Instagram?

 A3. First of all, one can set up a very detailed advertisement. The advertisement is exposed only to users who meet the conditions that we set up such as region, age, interest, etc. It provides much more efficient access to target consumers than advertising to an unspecified number of people. This can eventually lead to strategic budget savings of marketing. However, for the new-born business accounts, there is a possibility of facing various restrictions on the use of advertising service. In the case of shop service available on Instagram, it only can be used after obtaining a certain level of account awareness. 

 

Q4. What are your future marketing plans?

A4. Recently, we signed a contract to enter a select shop. We are and will focus on the “exposure,” which is the same goal for choosing Instagram as a marketing platform. Other than this, we would like to make efforts to promote our products by our own events, and information about this can be seen on our Instagram account, for sure. As can be seen above, in the case of SaH, it can be said that Instagram serves well as a marketing platform. Moreover, for consumers who want to see images of a brand's concept and overall expression, it would be a great way to visit their Instagram account before buying its products.
