Now there is no burden of repayment while not being a graduate!
Income Contingent Loan (ICL) is a new kind of student loan that allows you to repay later after you get a job. Also, the amount of a loan is unlimited. ICL also covers your cost of living so you can thoroughly focus on your studying. Students either can use the existing student loan or this ICL. The rate of interest is fixed as 5.7%. Since it takes longer time to get approved than existing student loan, students need to prepare in advance.
The first thing you need to do is visit the student loan website (www.studentloan.go.kr) and register your information with a certificate from bank. Secondly, apply for the ICL and send out your application and related documents to the bank. Make sure that your information on the application form is all precise. It will take 11 days at the most.
One of the requirements is that you have to take more than 12 credits right before the semester and get 80% of your full grade. Also, you should be under 35 and not getting any other student loan or scholarships.
