On August 28, a café was inaugurated in the lobby of the Central Library at the University of Seoul (UOS). It is a branch of the Hygafe (Hygge Café), an unique establishment wherein individuals with borderline mental disabilities work as skilled baristas. Customers can enjoy an Americano, various lattes, as well as caffeine-free beverages such as Ade and tea. Additionally, the Classic and Choco S’more Levain Cookies are great dessert options for students.

Given the popularity of the first Hygafe located in front of UOS, students were eagerly awaiting the opening of this branch. A student who visits the Central Library said, “We previously had an unmanned beverage machine, but due to the limited variety and quality, I always bought drinks outside. Now, I am happy to be able to buy high-quality drinks in the comfort of the Central Library. I particularly like that this is the second Hygafe, and I was waiting till the opening date.” Please note that the Hygafe is open from 8:30 to 19:30 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays.
