at the University of Seoul (UOS) offers a program titled “Making Korean Friends.” One of their projects is UOS Buddy, which pairs each international student with a Korean buddy. These UOS Buddies are selected four times a year, for the duration of each semester and vacation, and are active for about one month each. A similar project is SeoulMate. Seoulmates interact with exchange students, while Buddies work with international students who come to the UOS for language studies.

Another project to consider is Tutor. It focuses on academic support more than UOS Buddy does; hence, tutor and tutee pairs shall choose a subject that students need help with, and conduct regular study sessions throughout the semester. The project is scheduled flexibly, and also extends financial support to the tutors. There are several other activities like International Summer School, and Global Lounge projects, that give every participant valuable opportunities for building solid friendships, and having memorable experiences. Those who are interested in these activities can refer to the recruitment guidelines on the school website.
