The University of Seoul (UOS) has hidden gates and two main entrances. Domestic students call the two additional entrances “jjok-mun,” which means “side door.” All students, visitors, and facility members can use the gates behind the Smart Experimental Building.

However, only school faculty members can use their identification to pass through the gate behind the Natural Science Building. This causes inconvenience to students because buildings near the gate are distant from both the front and back gates. For instance, it is approximately 600 meters from the front gate to the Information and Technology Building, and approximately 450 meters from the back gate, both taking about 10 minutes on foot.

The Division of General Affairs mentioned students cannot use the gate because it leads directly to Jeonnong Middle School, which restricts visitor access. The Division of General Affairs also said that the Division of Finance Affairs is in the middle of a consultation with Jeonnong Middle School.
