The University of Seoul (UOS) is well-known for its many different kinds of facilities such as lounges and exercise facilities. These facilities are not limited to the University Community members; even non-members can enjoy their benefits.
Starting from the Front Gate, there is a gym inside the Wellness Center near the Law School. It is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. Access to the facility is limited to registered members, and a registration is determined through a random selection process. While the Wellness Center requires payment and membership for access, another gym is available in a dormitory for free.
There is also a tennis court inside the Wellness Center that can be used by those who are not members of UOS. There is another outside tennis court close to the Rear Gate. Students of the Department of Sport Science play tennis during their regular courses, and the members of our campus’s tennis club usually use it. UOS operates a reservation system online via its website (University Gymnasium and Sports Complex). The UOS Times recommends readers to visit the website frequently as booking is really hard to make.
Moving on to Mirae Hall , there is a schoolyard nearby where students can play soccer, basketball, and Jokgu (foot volleyball). The system is reservation-based and available for both UOS members and non-members. However, priority is given to regular classes of UOS, campus events, and club activities. Non-members should utilize the above-mentioned reservation system. These facilities are all available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the running tracks are open from 6 a.m.
