Since July 16, UOS has enacted a curfew on nighttime access to its buildings. From 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., access to UOS buildings is restricted and controlled by the electronic door lock system. On weekends, the limit is expanded to 24 hours. To get into the school buildings during the restricted hours, faculty, staff, and students should get their university identification cards registered at UOS security office, located in B1 of University Center.

Those who did not get their identification cards registered have to dial 6117 on the door lock reader to contact UOS security, if they want to enter any UOS buildings at night and on the weekends. Access can be only granted if it is confirmed that they study or work at the university. People who do not study or work at UOS are barred from entering the buildings during the nighttime and weekends. UOS authorities cited security upgrades and improvements as the reasons for the changes.
