After weeks of the on and off rainy season, the cafeteria inside Natural Science Building underwent construction to repair and inspect any negative effects the rain could have brought. The construction lasted from August 28 to September 7. The ceiling was repainted and safety inspections were conducted. During the construction, the cafeteria was temporarily closed down but reopened as soon as the work was done. However, the re-opening presented students with a higher-priced menu.

Before construction, the majority of the menu’s item was 2,500 won, but starting this semester, it rose to 2,800 won. Although meals sometimes cost 2,500 won, most of the time they are 2,800 won. The increase resulted from the low popularity marks the cafeteria had received over the years.

So the cafeteria decided to include more meat and other favored ingredients in its meals with the aim of encouraging more students to eat at the cafeteria. According to the cafeteria, if this change attracts more students in facilitating the cafeteria in Natural Science Building, the raise in prices will likely continue.
