The launching ceremony of the UOS Cheonsa Club was held on January 14 in the International Conference Room of the 21st Century Building. UOS Cheonsa implies 1,004 donors who will take part in a fundraising campaign to build the 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall. Cheonsa means ‘angel’ in Korean and has the same pronunciation as the number ‘1,004’ in Korean.

The 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall will be established in order to commemorate the UOS’ 100-year history and enhance the UOS’ image. It needs 700 billion won in total to build the hall. Therefore, this campaign began to gather 100 billion won from among staff members themselves.

Anyone who loves or has interest in the UOS can take part in this club regardless of your relationship with the school, be it: alumni, faculty, staff, assistant council, or union organizations. There are several ways to donate 10 million won over the five-year campaign; 10 million won at once, 2 million won in a year or 200,000 won for 50 months. The 1,004 donors’ names will be printed on copper plates and displayed in the 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall.

If you want to donate, fill out the deed of covenant on the homepage. (http://fund.uos.ac.kr) Afterwards, visit the Office of Planning to endow or make a deposit into the development fund’s account. (Woori Bank, 849-023892-13-011)
