▲ Out of School at the Seoul Central District Court after attending trials
The extracurricular activity group Out of School, which is supported by the Student Welfare Committee of Chungchoon Story, is launched for the first time targeting freshmen and sophomores of UOS. Out of School aims to provide experiences outside of the university to the selected students free of charge, so they get a chance to establish their visions for the future. The head of Out of School, Kim Min-ji (Dept. of Environmental Horticulture, '13), says, “Our extracurricular activities allow students to experience meaningful yet fun activities.”

This year’s application date was from Aug. 12 to Aug. 23, and the period of activities lasts for approximately three months from Sept. 2 to Nov. 30. Out of School benefits the students by providing them with a variety of events to attend such as mentoring from graduates in specific fields, visiting the Seoul Central District Court and exhibitions, watching musicals, listening to orchestras, etc. In addition to those fun and productive experiences, it also gives a great opportunity for the students to become friends with those in different majors. Although Out of School only selects 20 students out of its applicants, it gives a chance for other students to indirectly participate in its events by posting reviews and photos on public Social Networking System (SNS) such as Facebook.

What the students need to become members of Out of School are their passion and a promise to be earnest. Those who are interested in earning useful and exciting experiences to help them plan their careers while they are still young should apply for Out of School before it is too late. To apply, students can access and fill out two necessary papers, a pledge and an application form, on Daum online at the cafe UOS Community and send them to Chungchoon Story.
