However, at the new information desk, the person previously in charge of reception for visitors now works during the afternoons only. Assigning a person to work full-time still remains a plan. The manager of AJ-park, the parking company, Park Jongyeol said “Our managers are also working together at the information desk. Of course, if we are asked something about the university, we can help visitors, but that is not our main purpose. It is just additional work.” Also, Lee Jun-won (Dept. of Sport Science, '11) said, “I did not know exactly where the information desk was or what it was for. Now I think that information desk can be really helpful to visitors. Also, it can be especially nice for high school students who are coming to UOS for an essay test or an admissions interview.”
Moreover, the information desk has a duty to prevent “pet dogs and the drunk” from creating a poor educational environment. However, the new information desk cannot fulfill the aforementioned duties due to an insufficient number of managers. A quick decision regarding additional manpower resources for the new information desk is needed.
