I traveled seven Europe-an countries last year from July 4th to August 18th. I’m glad to talk about my trip experience to you. I hope my story will give you much help.

First of all, I advise you to be prepared throughly. The more you know, the more you can see and learn. I saw many Koreans during the trip and some of them did not have any ideas about where they were so they only watched stones in the hot sunny day in Pompeii. Others, however, planed to go during the festival and really enjoyed the festival.

I think choosing themes, at least one, is very important. Although you could see many things without themes, you can have more enjoyable trip if you have a theme. You can select any topics such as city planning process, architectures, music of Europe and etc.

I recommend you to go to East and South Europe. If your trip term is short, it will be difficult to go but I strongly recommend these places. Because Europe have diverse cultures, you will experience different characteristics of each country and expand your point of view. After visiting Italy, I realized economical, social and cultural differences in the Europe which were divided into two parts by Alps.

Using Internet in Europe will be a good experience. There are many Internet cafes called ‘Easy Everything’. They are located in the heart of big cities such as London, Manchester, Berlin, Rome, and Barcelona. You can get less time to surf if there are many people so it would be better avoid the busy time.

I recommand you to use various kinds of accommo-dation from Korean guest houses, native guest houses, and youth hostel. In Germany, there are many good youth hostels so I propose using one of them cheaply. I stayed at the British guest house, ‘B&B’ in London and it was so impressive.

The most important thing in the trip is coming back to Korea healthy and safely. So pack some convenient medicines such as pain-killer and peptic. Be sure that the medical treatment fee of Europe is very high.

Finally, I want you to have respect to our culture. Sometimes I see someone who says that Korea has nothing to see and Korean relics are inferior than others. But this is not true. During Japanese conquest and Korean war time, many relics were destroyed but there are many good places around us we do not know. As for Seoul, it has five palaces and 11 kilometers castles.

No capital city has such a long and enclosing city wall. Paris is a castle city but it does not have any traces of the old castle. I think Seoul is No. 1 sightseeing city in the world. I wish you took pride in our own culture.
