Grimnuri was established to study a popular culture in 1988, and to create comics from 1998 on. It has produced many members and about 30 of them are active work in the field now.
Did you see their exhibitions in festival? Daedongje, a festival, is important for them. They planned many events for other people in this year. Above all, they made a comic cafe which was to see various comics freely in front of Student Hall.
Besides all members of circle joined in a collaborative comic and hung picture and sold diverse fancy goods. Most of works, from making a story to picturing, were worked out not individually but cooperatively.
They have participated in a monthly function which Comic World or Amateur Comics Association(ACA), an amateur comics club, holds to interchange work by amateurs.
In the function, they decorated a booth and sold fancy items or bulletin. In addition, they won a prize at branches of illustration and display in last event. Although he did not major in the field, Shin young-kwon started as a professional cartoonist. He has published his works in Yong-champ.
Many animations were screened in the fall of last year like as Cyber formular sin and Oh, my goddess etc. This exhibition will be held annually. Moreover they will prepare and issue annual bulletin during this summer and settlement of circle, in the fall.
