The first report that came into my eyes was the report about how one can become a hotel manager. A hotel manager is something that young people have interest in nowadays. To be honest, I am not that interested in being a hotel manager. But I’m sure this article gave the readers important information. Next, I read “In My Life”. This article is my favorite one. That is because it is telling us about something new but also about something that isn’t so far away.
I’m positive that the readers of this magazine are all interested in English. A story like this gives the readers more curiosity and also gives some entertainment. The cover story is good, too. I could see the reporters talked a lot about this subject. Also, it is a fair report, not just talking about the school Library’s fault but the student’s mistakes.
But I cannot help but hope for a better article in this area. Of course, reading about The University of Seoul’s library was interesting since I could compare its condition with other school’s. But I would have been more interested in this if it were a topic students in other universities would be interested in also.
I guess this magazine is for students of the UOS but I hope you remember that there are other students here and there. Besides these articles ‘Click Here’ was very helpful, especially for this season, and ‘Computer&Science’ was very interesting.
Lastly, I hope there will be a little bit of entertainment in the next magazine. Reading about entertainment articles that students write is always fun. When I read a school’s newspaper or magazine, I don’t look for serious news, rather, I try to find the student’s creative touch in there.
Unlike the real magazine and newspapers in society, students magazines have a creative view and they always have something to say. In The UOS Times I could surely see this. The pretty designs and interesting topics, the cub-reporters’ writing and everything was quite fresh. I hope The UOS Times will keep this style of writing alive.
