There is no distinction between the person who is a major in hotel management and other nonrelated majors.
The former is more attractive in that they are more accustomed to the terms related to hotels and are apt to adapt to their atmosphere faster than the latter because of their familiarity with hotels. So, if you are not a hotel management major, it will help you to gain experience through a part-time job during your vacation.
2. Sociable Attitude and Professional Consciousness
Besides your fluent foreign language ability, a sociable attitude is important because you are going to meet many different kinds of people.
Most people have the wrong illusions about hotel management. Their brilliant features are just a part of successful management. In fact, a person who has these brilliant illusions experience more difficulties at work, and are more likely to quit their jobs. You must have sincerity in your job and always practice professional consciousness.
