In last vacation, I visited Europe for about fifty days. The many experiences left me with many rich memories. Although I am not able to discuss all of my story, I cannot help sharing a brief story and a few pictures with you.

1. Plaza Reial

There were beautiful 19th Century neoclassical build-ings around the Plaza. I took a rest there for a while.

2. Piazza Navona

I think this picture is of the Piazza Navona. The reason why I said “think” is there are so many piazzas in Rome that I could not tell whether this is Piazza Navona or not. This photo shows few special characters that distinguish itself from other piazzas; there was a small argument between lovers and poor looking Asian flower seller.

3. Parc Guell

Parc Guell gives us colorful, fairy tale like images, different from other European classical buildings. I guess that’s why there are so many children enjoying picnics. I could feel the touch of famous architect Gaudi from even the small tiles decorating the park.

4. The stone pillars in Parc Guell

5. Piazza Spagna

This image is famous for Audrey Hepburn’s ‘Roman Holiday ‘. However it is a bit old fashion to think of Audrey Hepburn here. (Seeing the young chatting happily, I noticed their distinct Roman character-istics).

6. Colosseo

Colosseo are remembered by our generation from ‘Gladiator’ rather than ‘Ben-Hur’. Were here crowd’s shouts, angry lions, gladiator’s bloody fights, and so on? The modern Colosseo in 21st century, however, remains as nothing but lonely and isolated from reality.

7. Looking out of window of the bus from Nice to Monaco was the best part of this trip. On the lonely, but beautiful winter coast of Monaco, Could you guess what I was thinking?

8. Egypt Museum

Many relics from all parts of the Egypt were kept in European museum. I felt sorry that the relics were removed from their mother land, but at least they will remain truly beautiful.

9. It was a long plane ride! But looking out of window in the plane was refreshing. I noticed I am just a small part of this world.

Over the last two months, I had opportunity to stay in Germany with my sister and her husband who is studying in Berlin. I became accustomed to their culture so fast that I felt as if I were real Berliner. And I often went out with lots of students from Korea in Berlin.

While I was traveling around Mediterranean sea, I experienced true liberty and had a few romantic moments only possible in travel to a truly exotic and exciting place. I hope my photos and short stories will reveal some of my unforgettable memories.
